One of the challenges in this worldly life is how we use our time. We all know that a lot of our time is spent making money, hanging out with family etc. But one of the challenges is how we make time out for Allah amongst all these busy times. Its true that its important to make money and give time to family. But it is also important to know that all these things should be done within the limits set by Allah. Which means that we should know how to properly make money, how to avoid cheating people, how to avoid interest, how to make sure that our money is halal, avoiding theft, such as avoiding pirated softwares with copyright. Likewise, we should know who our priority in our family should be for us and how we should spend time with them according to the sunnah. So it is always important to make time out to study the authentic Islamic knowledge to know these things.
I believe that those who are very busy with themselves also have time for Allah, His Book and studying the sunnah. All we need is some internal motivation, which we can easily gain from some very motivational YouTube videos, for example! Anyways, it seems like people who just waste time hanging around their couches, or wasting time watching useful things like extremely useless TV series, or reading useless novels can always make time out for the religion of Allah. In my opinion, a lot of the people seem to be wasting their life doing such useless things and then complain about the lack of time due to their jobs, studies etc. But its important to realize that in order to perform good deeds or any deed for that matter, its important to have knowledge for it before. If we want to know the proper way to pray, fast, or even make money in Islam, it is first important that we make sure that authentic knowledge reaches. This realization is important because just like we do research before buying a car, a phone etc. to make sure it has good reviews and make sure about all its specifications, its important that we constantly try to seek out authentic knowledge of the religion. Blindly following what we know from before and never bothering to seek knowledge will always continue to keep us in the dark from the truth. And besides, the internet has now made research so easy.
Taking out time from our lives is not only for studying Islam, but also for acts of worship. And it is important to realize that spreading the word of Allah is not only done by activlely saying it out, but our actions and the way we deal with others also gives out a message for people who’s hearts have not yet died. May Allah make us an active member of the muslim ummah and help us revive this ummah once more.
